Ah, brunch. The meal is truly the best of all worlds — with a few mimosas to boot. Some of us wonder all week what we’ll choose from the splay of eats, whether savory breakfast burgers or sweet pastries prepared by the city’s best. Where to go and what to eat? We’ve come up with some winning plates and places in a slew of categories. Take notes, and plan your next brunch bonanza accordingly.

Most Over-the-Top Bloody Mary Bars: Coppersmith

Now that chef Jason Heard has moved over to this South Boston restaurant inside a former copper foundry, he’s imported some of the same enthusiasm for Bloody Marys displayed at his former haunt, the now-late East Coast Grill. The options here are insane: First pick your vodka, then add garnishes. We’re talking pickled cauliflower and “ghost pepper” ketchup, green tomato chutney and Korean BBQ sauce. The options are endless, and for an added cost you can upgrade with shrimp or bacon. Bloody hell, this is fantastic.
